ModMath 2.0 is an apple application that is downloadable onto iPads to help students with Dysgraphia. The app has a math keyboard with all the different mathematical notations and numbers. Students with dysgraphia struggle with writing numbers and notation correctly and in math, this could make or break student engagement and motivation. Writing the symbols incorrectly isn't their fault and it could be really damaging to their identity of as a math learner. This app is will help students to recognize and concisely work out math problems and take notes. As students get older the math discourse will get harder and although students might be able to verbally express their thoughts, the notation to write these thoughts out will be a different struggle. Even just thinking about exponential functions, I have a lot of students who struggle to write things in exponential notation, they know the mathematical operations to do, but always write 3x instead of 3^x. I think that having this app preloaded on student iPads to take notes would help students practice with the notation. This will help reinforce the notation for problem solving and for students with Dysgraphia, it would lower frustration with trying to write the correct numbers in the correct notation.
